Tattoo Aftercare:

1. Take the bandage off in 1 hour or whenever you get home. The easiest way to take the bandage off is to jump in a luke warm shower and let the water to losen the tape.

2. Wash the tattoo with warm water and a liquid antibacterial soap (ex. dial) using your fingertips not a washrag. Wash off all the medication and dried blood. Make sure the water don't hit directly on the tattoo for long periods of time.

3. Pat dry the tattoo with a towel DO NOT RUB. Put a tiny bit of Vitamin A&D ointment on and rub in like hand lotion. It should have a slight shine on the top of ur tattoo. DO NOT GLOB the medication on becasue it will not help the tattoo to heal. Your not buttering toast so just a lil bit will work. Also you can take orally Vitamin E capsules twice daily to speed up the healing time. What happens if you use the Vitamin E along with the VitaminA&D ointment is the Vitamin E heals from the inside out and Vitamin A&D heals from outside in and makes it heal alot faster.

4. Anytime your tattoo feels like its drying out or if your medication is oozing wash your tattoo as explained above. DO NOT EVER put new medication over old medication always wash your tattoo first. If you put new medication over old medication it traps the old in your tattoo which now has no healing properties and turns into bacteria which will cause a infection.

5. After the 3rd or 4th day of doing above instructions you can change the Vitamin A&D ointment to a hand lotion. DO NOT USE anything with a perfume smell to it on your tattoo. Cocoa butter, Curel or any lotion like that is allright to use. Make sure you rub it in good and keep it so the tattoo don't dry out. Keep it moist.

6. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT go swimming, sun tanning, while tattoo is healing wear a loose fitting shirt or something over tattoo when in the sun. DO NOT soak your tattoo in water ex. hot tubs, jacuzzis, swimming pools, baths, nothing where your tattoo is submerged in water.

7. The tattoo should peel like a sunburn, there should be no scabbing at all. But for some reason if there is any scabbing do not pick the scabs they will fall off by themselves in due time. If you pick the scabs you take the chance of pulling ink out and leaving a white mark.
